Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking a compassionate, culturally responsive, and skilled Creole-speaking Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals and families throughout New Jersey.
This hybrid opportunity combines the flexibility of telehealth with meaningful in-person work at our partner adult day care centers, allowing clinicians to build a consistent caseload while making a lasting impact within Creole-speaking and underserved communities.
As part of our growing behavioral health team, you will provide therapy services, develop therapeutic relationships with clients both onsite and virtually, and collaborate with psychiatric providers and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
Ideal candidates enjoy building relationships within community-based settings and are comfortable providing onsite services at partner adult day care centers, with a preference for at least two days per week in Asbury Park.
Compensation
$35–$50 per clinical session
Compensation is based on licensure level, experience, credentials, and clinical expertise.

What You'll Do
Clinical Services
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy services
- Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Assist clients in building coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and wellness goals
- Provide crisis intervention when clinically appropriate
Collaboration & Care Coordination
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in case consultations and treatment planning discussions
- Coordinate referrals and connect clients with community resources
- Support continuity of care and patient advocacy
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Maintain treatment plans, assessments, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable payer requirements
- Maintain professional and ethical standards of practice
Qualifications
Required
- Master's Degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Active New Jersey license or associate license in good standing, including:
- LCSW
- LSW
- LPC
- LAC
- Other qualified behavioral health licenses recognized by the State of New Jersey
- Fluent in both Creole and English
Candidates must be able to:
- Conduct clinical assessments in Creole and English
- Provide therapy services in both languages
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and professionally
Preferred
- Outpatient behavioral health experience
- Community-based mental health experience
- Telehealth experience
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations
Work Location & Schedule
- Hybrid position
- Minimum of two (2) onsite days per week in Asbury Park preferred
- In-person services are provided at partner adult day care centers
- Therapists are expected to engage with and build their caseload through onsite services at these locations
- Remaining sessions may be conducted via telehealth
- Flexible scheduling options available
