We are looking for a Traveling Community Outreach Medical Assistant to serve as the face of our organization within adult day care centers throughout New Jersey. This individual will educate clients about our behavioral health services, build trusting relationships with participants and staff, assist providers during onsite visits, and support the growth of referral partnerships.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys interacting with people, public speaking, traveling to multiple locations, and making a meaningful impact in the community.

Responsibilities: 

  • Travel to assigned adult day care centers throughout New Jersey.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to clients about psychiatric and therapy services.
  • Educate clients on available behavioral health resources and answer questions regarding services.
  • Identify clients who may benefit from mental health services and facilitate referrals.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients, caregivers, and center staff.
  • Serve as the primary liaison.
  • Maintain close working relationships with each center's Director of Nursing (DON), Administrator, and clinical staff.
  • Assist providers during onsite psychiatric clinics by preparing clients and coordinating patient flow.
  • Provide Spanish/English interpretation for providers and patients as needed.
  • Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and collection of required documentation.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities, referrals, and presentations.
  • Represent Mindify professionally at community events, health fairs, and networking opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership regarding referral activity, client engagement, and opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform other outreach and clinical support duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Comfortable speaking with seniors and diverse populations
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel daily to multiple locations throughout New Jersey
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR)
