As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor who holds both an active New Jersey LCSW and LCADC to provide clinical leadership, ensure quality, maintain compliance, and support the development of a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals.
Because this position provides supervision to clinicians pursuing multiple licensure and credentialing pathways, candidates must possess the credentials necessary to supervise social work, counseling, and substance use disorder professionals. An active New Jersey LCSW and LCADC are required.
Growth Opportunity
This position is designed to start on a part-time basis and transition into a full-time leadership role as the organization continues to expand. We are seeking a supervisor who is excited to grow alongside the organization and play a key role in shaping clinical operations, quality initiatives, staff development, and future program growth.
As Mindify scales its services and clinical team, this role is expected to increase in scope and responsibility, offering meaningful opportunities for advancement into senior clinical leadership positions.
Position Overview
The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key clinical leader within the organization, providing supervision, mentorship, quality oversight, and operational support to a multidisciplinary team that may include LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LACs, CADCs, LCADCs, interns, and other behavioral health professionals.
The ideal candidate is both a skilled clinician and an effective leader, capable of driving clinical excellence, maintaining regulatory compliance, improving therapist performance, and helping build the systems and infrastructure necessary to support organizational growth.
This is a hybrid position. Most responsibilities may be completed remotely; however, periodic onsite presence within New Jersey will be required for orientation, training, staff meetings, quality initiatives, supervision activities, and other operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision and Team Leadership
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision in accordance with New Jersey licensing-board requirements and each clinician’s scope of practice.
- Provide clinical consultation and leadership to licensed and pre-licensed clinicians.
- Hold monthly clinical department meetings.
- Coach therapists on clinical quality, documentation, productivity, professional development, and performance expectations.
- Maintain accurate supervision agreements, logs, evaluations, and other required records.
- Support risk assessment, crisis consultation, ethical decision-making, and appropriate escalation of clinical concerns.
Documentation Compliance
- Monitor progress-note completion and treatment-plan deadlines.
- Work toward the organizational goal of maintaining at least 98% of clinical documentation completed within 48 hours of service delivery.
- Follow up on and escalate overdue or incomplete documentation.
- Identify recurring documentation concerns and provide targeted coaching or corrective action.
Therapist Utilization
- Monitor therapist productivity, caseload capacity, and schedule utilization.
- Reduce unused appointment capacity and support therapists in maintaining appropriate caseloads.
- Partner with scheduling and administrative teams to improve patient access and continuity of care.
- Adjust schedules, templates, and coverage plans to support organizational productivity goals.
Quality Assurance
- Complete monthly chart audits and document findings.
- Ensure assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and related records meet clinical, payer, legal, and organizational standards.
- Address documentation deficiencies and monitor corrective-action plans when needed.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to clinical workflows, policies, and staff training initiatives.
Compliance and Credentialing
- Monitor therapist licenses, credentials, supervision eligibility, and renewal deadlines.
- Ensure required training and competency requirements are completed within established timelines.
- Promote compliance with company policies, professional ethics, payer requirements, HIPAA regulations, and New Jersey documentation standards.
- Maintain readiness for internal reviews, payer audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Scheduling and Coverage
- Ensure appropriate therapist coverage across programs and service locations.
- Coordinate PTO requests, schedule modifications, and coverage needs.
- Minimize appointment cancellations caused by staffing gaps.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to respond to changes in patient demand.
Payroll Oversight
- Review and approve therapist hours and payroll-related documentation.
- Verify PTO, overtime, and fee-for-service payments, as applicable.
- Resolve discrepancies and submit approvals accurately and on time.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Review and screen qualified applicants.
- Conduct clinical interviews and participate in hiring decisions.
- Lead or support onboarding, orientation, and role-specific training.
- Confirm required competencies and trainings are completed within established timelines.
- Help foster a strong, accountable, collaborative, and supportive clinical culture.
Required Qualifications
Required Licensure and Credentials
Candidates must possess ALL of the following:
- Active, unrestricted New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.
- Active, unrestricted New Jersey Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) credential in good standing.
- Current eligibility under New Jersey regulations to supervise clinicians pursuing social work, counseling, and substance use licensure and credentialing pathways.
- Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) credential, or ability to demonstrate qualification to supervise professionals pursuing CADC/LCADC credentials under New Jersey regulations.
- Completion of all education and training required by applicable New Jersey licensing boards for clinical supervision.
Professional Experience
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work.
- Minimum of three years of post-LCSW clinical experience.
- Previous clinical supervision and behavioral health leadership experience.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, risk management, utilization management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience conducting chart reviews, performance coaching, corrective-action planning, and supervision documentation.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in a growing and evolving organization.
- Ability to attend periodic onsite meetings and operational activities throughout New Jersey.
Why LCSW and LCADC Are Required
This position provides supervision and clinical oversight to professionals working toward a variety of behavioral health licenses and credentials. To support Mindify’s multidisciplinary clinical model, the Clinical Supervisor must possess the qualifications necessary to supervise both mental health and substance use disorder professionals and provide oversight across the broadest range of provider types served by the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dual licensure or additional advanced behavioral health credentials.
- Experience supervising both social work and counseling professionals.
- Experience in outpatient mental health, telehealth, psychiatry, community-based care, or integrated behavioral health settings.
- Familiarity with EHR systems, payer audits, credentialing, utilization management, and multi-site operations.
- Experience recruiting, onboarding, and managing therapist performance.
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.
- Experience serving culturally diverse populations.
Schedule and Work Arrangement
- Position will initially begin part-time, with the expectation of transitioning into a full-time leadership role based on organizational growth and performance.
- Primarily remote, with periodic onsite work required throughout New Jersey.
- Flexible scheduling available.
- Supervisor must remain accessible during agreed-upon operating hours and for urgent clinical consultation.

Compensation
Part-Time (Initial Phase): $45-$60 per hour
Full-Time (Upon Transition): $80,000-$100,000 annually
Final compensation will be based on experience, supervisory credentials, leadership background, dual licensure, and the number and type of clinicians supervised.
As Mindify continues to expand, this position is expected to evolve from a part-time supervisory role into a full-time leadership opportunity with increased responsibility, influence, and advancement potential.
